Two-way Google Calendar Sync for Teachers
It would be less tedious if there was functionality for a two-way sync between Google Calendar and Teachworks. This way, teachers/admin don't have to update availability manually; the system will just record when a teacher is or is not available based on a teacher's Google Calendar Calendar.

Elyse Susanne DworinThis would be great, assuming TW starts syncing in real time with Google. As it stands, the sync can sometimes take days.

DanaYes! This is by far our most needed feature: a way for tutors to have their one-off items (i.e. doctors appointments) in their own calendars (i.e. google calendar or ical) block their posted general/regular availability in TW (like an app such as Calendly) would save A LOT of back and forth with tutors who did not have time to block off a last minute one off appointment in TW. It is a lot of clicks for a tutor to go in and change availability; we find they often do not do it and so it is hard to make very good use of online booking.

DanaThis is one of the most important features for us and one of the reasons why we also need to use Calendly. We do assessments and trial lessons booked online and we need to be able to have this feature for tutors who offer these. They can give very broad availability if they know they can just bock a time in their personal google or ical calendar and they will not get booked by accident and so they see appointments in their personal calendars right away. If they do not have this feature, they have to keep their availability in TW very limited/narrow and then make sure they do not book things (i.e. dentist appointments or anything last minute). Not having this feature means tutors have to keep time open all the time even though they are not getting paid for it..

AndrewYes, this is a really important feature that's currently missing from Teachworks. It really impacts our business as well since it's not always practical or reliable for tutors to update their availability to block off time when a personal appointment comes up. It means that currently we either have to use third party software such as Acuity Scheduling, or have students book in through the admin team, which is a lot more costly for us.
